I wash looking at the Dash and decided against it. Now I am shopping for a flat screen LED TV and I will not even consider Sony. They are the worst and they just lost a potential $3000 sale. I guess one guy does not matter to them. I have been telling many people of my experience with the Mylo and they are also shying away from Sony. I just don't think Sony cares! Here we are trashing their company, with just cause,on their website and they don't even address it! They just do not care or they are incredibly stupid. In any case, we are all terribly frustrated, To think I bought 4 of these devices instead of Ipod Touch's. Oh well, as they say, sometimes you win a few and sometimes you lose a few! In Sony's case they are the loser's now because they just lost my vote and lost me as a customer!
In fact, not even a mention from Sony there will be an update! Since these non-functionality problems have been going on for at least the last year, I'm going to assume Sony has abandoned their Mylo COM2 product. And frankly, I'm fed up waiting.

I encourage other people to VOTE WITH YOUR DOLLARS!

The Mylo will be the LAST gadget I will buy from Sony. Ever.
This includes TVs, DVD/BluRay players, headsets, MP3 players and anything else made by Sony.
I'm tired to getting screwed by Sony. There are other Japanese companies who support their products well and I will be buying from them.

I also have an Apple iPod Touch and it's amazing how I'm using it more and more now since the Mylo's functionality is less and less.

Myers, Florida Facility. He gave me his office number which I will release if we don't get a positive result. I told him the problems with the Com-2, specifically dealing with Yahoo Messenger, Youtube and the fact that there has not been any updates since 2008. I also told him about the myloforums and how members of the forums were waiting for assistance with the unit.

He was very receptive to my complaints and conceded that the unit should be supported as it is not that old. He is going to check with the engineering staff for the unit and give me some sort of a solution on Monday or Tuesday. If I do not hear from him by Tuesday night, I was instructed to contact him. I will let you guys know what is happening and what the status is. The information will be posted as soon as I get it so stay tuned.....

As a company, they really are the bottom of the barrel. I am holding 4 Mylos that are useless to me as crap is starting not to work and their technical support is a joke. You get these guys from half way around the world telling you to reinstall widgets to fix problems and when you ask them to duplicate the problem on the Mylo, they can't! The reason is that they don't have a unit anywhere around them. They are merely working from a trouble shooting guide. They are useless. Did Sony ever learn anything from the Toyota Debacle? Is this company subscribe to the "Japanese Work Ethic" that we hear so much of? I think not! Sony, update the damn product already!

It is driving me nuts and now this new Youtube dilema really has me pissed. If you guys find any work a rounds to get this working again, please let me know!

Just so you know that On Friday, 4/2/10, I again called Sony Customer Service up for the Mylo and started my tour around the world. It always starts in the Philippines and then I eventually escalate it up to the 3rd level which is in the US, San Diego to be exact. I spoke to the customer service guy there, I think his name was Charles. The interesting thing about all these contacts is that I asked if anyone had a Mylo in front of them to demonstrate the problem to no avail. How are these guys supposed to help you when you cant even show them what is going on. He advised that he had everything in his master file? In any case at least I found someone in the states. I was very firm in explaining our predicament again. I told him that there were many of us disgusted by Sony's attitude towards it's loyal customers, especially Sony Mylo customers. He was pretty understanding and said he would check with the Mylo engineers and he would e-mail me back in a couple of days. He also advised what remedies I could go to next in the form of Sony's national customer service contact. That will be the next step. By the way my ref case was # e45106977.
I finished by saying that the Ipod Touch was no better than the Mylo but the touch is mega miles from the Mylo in terms of support. Although Apple has older models still out there, all models are supported. He agreed and said he would pass it along.
I will let you all know how I make out. Remember guys, power in numbers. Make a call and let them know how you feel. I am not ready to give up the fight yet.
As a side note, I will also be posting a complaint on the Youtube site regarding the changes they made. There are many people up there in the same boat from mobile phones to other devices. Youtube has a forum on the main site.
